The AskED Problem Solver is a software
product that enables pollworkers as never before to handle all of the
problems that arise on Election Day. Rather than counting on pollworkers to
remember everything they have learned in training, AskED provides the correct
solution to each situation, on-demand, and “just-in-time.” The Robis Election Decision Support
System™ within AskED always guides the
pollworker to the correct course of action for each voter, through a simple
series of yes or no questions. As experience has proven around the country,
pollworkers of all (or no) technical abilities are able and willing to use
AskED.
The AskED Problem Solver offers the
following:

AskED Help Desk is the only solution on the market designed specifically for the
management of government election-support phone banks. The software is
intranet-based, making it easy to deploy and allowing for immediate updates—even
on Election Day.
The AskED Help Desk provides for the entry
and tracking of phone calls regarding election problems. In addition, the
product provides the correct resolution to each problem so that phone
operators—even those who only work on Election Day and who have
limited training on either computers or in elections—can handle and
resolve most issues immediately, without further assistance from elections
staff. Any problems that front-line
operators are not able to handle immediately are automatically escalated to
the correct person or department within the jurisdiction, or to equipment
vendors or troubleshooters, depending on the nature of the problem.
AskED’s most unique feature is its
patent-pending decision support system that leads operators to the correct
resolution for each voter eligibility issue. By simply answering a few
questions, election-day operators can be certain to provide the correct
course of action for each voter. Because the system guides the operator
through the election logic, operators with limited or no election
experience or knowledge can provide the needed election night services

The AskED Pollbook has all ofthe
outstanding features and patent-pending decision support solution provided
by the AskED Problem Solver. In addition, the AskED Pollbook captures the voter history for easy updating of
county records. The AskED Pollbook also provides for signature capture,
signature compare and barcode scanning (with appropriate hardware).
The AskED® Online Pollworker Training product provides a
web-based solution for training and certifying pollworkers. The system
provides a variety of multi-media options for training pollworkers and can
be integrated with the rest of our AskED family of products. Election
workers can study materials, take quizzes and tests and receive a
certificate all from the comfort of their homes. Robis staff can develop
the custom curriculum needed for each jurisdiction including the creation
of any videos or other multimedia components.
AskED Web Training curriculum can easily
be edited by jurisdiction staff using a simple web interface. The AskED Web
training product combined with our “just-in-time” pollworker
training products make Robis the leader in pollworker training solutions.

AskED provides a wonderful solution for
Early
Voting
Centers
and
Vote
Centers
.
This version of AskED provides all of the advantages of the AskED Problem
Solver and all of the advantages of the AskED Pollbook. In addition, this version provides
real-time updating of a central database so that duplicate voting can be
avoided. The product also provides
immediate on-demand reports of election activity from the Election Office,
centralized control of the provisional process and a powerful way to
communicate to all vote centers at the same time from a central office. The
AskED Early Voting/Vote Centers product also provides the only system on the market that both keeps the central
database up-to-date with a robust system and continues to function in the polling place to process
voters as they come in, so that the election can continue unhindered if the
connection to the central office is lost.
Designed to solve two of the most pressing
problems in polling places, AskED Lite provides a limited set of features
in comparison to the AskED Problem Solver and may serve a jurisdiction as
an entry point into the AskED family of solutions. AskED Lite provides our excellent video
help for voting-equipment issues, and helps pollworkers to direct every
voter to the correct polling place. It does not provide searchable help or the patented decision support
process that guides the pollworkers to the correct action for each
voter’s circumstances.
AskED Lite can be seamlessly upgraded to
the full Problem Solver or the Pollbook version at any time.
Robis is a high-service company and
provides customization services on all of our products to meet the
particular needs of each jurisdiction. In some cases jurisdiction requests
can simply be included in a future release of the product without
additional charge. If a jurisdiction desires that a particular feature be custom-programmed,
that customization can be quoted as needed.
