IPad 1st Generation: Released April, 2010. Security updates ceased May 2012 (with IOS 5.1.1) That was less than 2 years.
Android: Market Chaos but most are supported for less than 2-3 years (many less than 1).
Windows XP: Released August 2001. Security updates ceased April 2014. That was more than 12 years.
Windows 8: Released October 2012. Security updates will be available till 1/10/2023. That's more than 10 years.
